Learning outcomes help you work towards your educational goals.

  1. Demonstrate an appreciation for the linguistic and cultural diversity of ASL, Spanish or Japanese.
  2. Identify certain rules of behavior, values, beliefs, and etiquette in Deaf, Latino/Hispanic or Japanese culture.
  3. Manage common interactions using enhanced vocabulary and grammar with fellow classmate using ASL, Spanish or Japanese.
  4. Participate in most formal and informal conversations on general topics in ASL, Spanish or Japanese.
  5. With the multicultural identity in mind, identify how the heritage language user manages their own multiple identities within the context of power, privilege and inequity.
