Program Details
EMTs work in the pre-hospital setting alongside Paramedics, Firefighters, and police. They must have a good driving record and pass a background check to volunteer or be employed as an EMT. Emergency Medical Technicians learn to manage, assess, and treat ill or injured patients both on scene and enroute to a medical facility. Clark College's Emergency Medical Technician course is for students that would like to pursue a career in the medical field with a focus on pre-hospital emergency care.

- Perform emergency assessment and treatment procedures, observing, recording, and reporting to the receiving facility, the patient's condition or injury.
