The following program map is a guide to the first two years of college course work leading to secondary (that is, high school) mathematics teaching certification. Mathematics teaching at the secondary level is a rewarding career. High school mathematics teachers can have significant and positive impact on students mathematics achievement as well as on students scholastic and personal development. Upon completion of this 2-year Math Education AA MRP Degree a student would transfer to a four-year college or university to earn a bachelor's degree and initial secondary mathematics teaching certification.
